Objective: To uplift the ex-servicemen and provide employment to them.

(A) Self Employment schemes for Ex-servicemen and war widows.

Samfax-1 Scheme
Under this scheme occupations like small scale industries, tranport, nursing homes and tourism and service stations are covered. The interested person should be below 60 years in age. A loan upto Rs.15 lacks can be availed open to rural and urban areas.
Samfax-2 scheme
The scheme is open to areas with a population of upto 10,000. The loan facility is available for cottage and rural industries.There are two categories under this scheme: agriculture area and non-agricultural area. There is no maximum limit for loans in agricultural areas while maximum limit for loans is Rs. 7.5 lakhs in non-agricultural areas.
Samfax-3
This scheme is for rural areas and areas having population upto 1000. The loan facility is available for cottage industries, rural industries and khadi industries identified by the village industries commission of the khadi board. Loan limit depends upon the size of the industry. Minimum age is 21 years. There is no maximum age limit.
Pacsam
Ex-servicemen with an age upto 55 years can get loan for a course of 1 month to 6 months duration like Radio/TV repair, Watch repair, Scooter/Motor mechanic, Hindi/English Typing/ Stenography, Motor Binding, Electrician, Tractor Mechanic, Wireman, Photography, Cut Glass, Dairy, Fish Farming, Carpentary, Piggery, Oil Mills, etc. A stipend of Rs.250/- p.m. and travelling allowance of Rs.50/- p.m. is given during the course. Maximum limit of loan is Rs.50,000/- and maximum limit of capital subsidy is Rs.5000/-. Capital subsidy rate is 33% and interest subsidy is also available.

(B) Other Facilities

Ex.SM and widows of the age of 60 years and above, not getting pension from Haryana Government, are given financial help of Rs.200/- p.m.
Para plenic and tetra plenic Ex.SM are given financial help of Rs.600/- p.m.
Blind Ex.SM are given financial help of Rs.300/- p.m.
Financial help of Rs.300/- p.m. is given to the children of Ex.SM.
Financial help of Rs.5000/- is given for the marriage of daughters of war widows and 100% physically handicapped Ex.SM and for the marriage of orphan daughters of ex-servicemen.
Financial help of Rs.1000/- is given for the marriage of daughter of other Ex.SM.
Financial help of maximum Rs.20,000/- for construction/repair of the house is given to the war widows and 100% physically handicapped Ex.SM.

Grant is given to the soldiers of armed forces died or become handicapped during wars in India while coopeartion to civil administration during internal security and their families from 23-11-1984 on following rates:

Pension to the children and widows of soldiers of armed forces killed during service time.

Other Ranked Officers	Rs.50/- p.m. per child	Maximum Rs.150/- p.m.
Junior Officers	Rs.75/- p.m. per child	Maximum Rs.225/- p.m.
Officers	Rs.100/- p.m. per child	Maximum Rs.300/- p.m.

Reservation in Haryana government Services:
For Group A & B 5%
For Group C & D 10%
Parents of the soldiers of the armed force are given war properties at the rate of Rs.1000/- p.a., whose one, two or three sons have served in the Indian United Armed Forces during emergency period.
Those disabled ex-soldiers who have been disabled either for reasons other than security services or they might not be getting pension or help from any other source are given financial help of Rs.200/- per month.
Zila Sainik Board has opened a Sainik Health Center for the facility of ex-soldiers, in which a doctor treats the soldiers.
War Memorial Hall is also being built.
Ex-soldiers have been given the facility to purchase various goods at subsidized rates in the canteen.
